Adobe today announced that it plans to deliver Flash Mobile Player 10.2 to compatible Android 2.2 Froyo, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and Android 3.0.1 Honeycomb devices starting on March 18 (the Honeycomb version will be a beta). Most of the improvements of Flash 10.2 are directed at Android 3.0 Honeycomb devices, and include hardware acceleration for H.264 video and better integration with the Android 3.0 browser. Smartphones running Flash 10.2 should notice improved scrolling and overall performance of Flash within the browser, including improved support for touch-based software QWERTY keyboards and optimization for newer hardware, such as those running two cores. Flash Player Mobile 10.2 will be downloadable from the Android Market on March 18. (follow link to read)
