Microsoft Providing Minor Update to Windows Phone 7 Monday, February 21, 2011

Microsoft today revealed that it has its first minor system update for devices running Windows Phone 7. This is not the major system update that brings copy-and-paste and multitasking, rather, it is a preparatory update that is meant to help ready WP7 devices for the larger update coming later this year. Microsoft said that it will begin sending out alerts to WP7 device users starting today in waves that will notify them that their device is ready for the update. The update process involves connecting to a PC or Apple computer using Zune or WP7 Connector for Mac, respectively. Users then need only follow the directions provided by the desktop software. Microsoft recommends that WP7 users update their Zune or WP7 Connector for Mac desktop software before updating their WP7 device. (follow link to read)
